T3 Introduction:

T3 was developed through the second phase of the Trinity consortium to add ability to track and predict hydrocarbon volume, GOR and API gravity through the 3-D geological space and time in an interactive toolkit. The main software objective is to develop an alternative approach to traditional 3D basin simulators that are too difficult to use, too slow to allow any scenario testing and yet too simple with regard to geological complexities.

T3 is built on top of the popular map based Trinity toolkit, so it has everything Trinity does. We are continuing to add functionality to help petroleum geologist not only determine charge risk, but also fluid type, phase and properties. The latest addition is an extensively calibrated API gravity predictor based on source facies and maturity and an interactive biodegradation tool that couples charge rates, oil-water-contact and thermal history of the trap/prospect to de-risk fluid properties of prospects.
